Du' Rance

From the sixteenth century was persecution by the Roman Catholic Church.

The French river where our surname ' Durrance ' came.

These received persecution for faith and water baptism.

From the sixteenth century was persecution by the Roman Catholic Church.

There were however people of faith, whom took the New Testament literal for water baptism by immersion.

These later became known as Huguenots; A people whom used the river as shown here. As they fled persecution took the name Du Rance later to be known as Durrance.
This ministry of this Durrance [Du Rance] began in 1967. We have not by any means retreated but enhanced our world wide ministry the Second Millennium.

There is Faith

...these three relate to ministry, effects and gifts...

Faith... evidence... of things not seen

By Faith the worlds were
....framed...
....out of nothing.....


By it the men of old gained approval.

Without Faith it is impossible to please God..

Faith can move mountains.

We will not go do an exposition of other parts of the Bible.

As we already done in various taped messages.

Here let us stay within the confines of these
three chapters.

A Miracle Ministry is a faith ministry. A Prophetic Ministry too is a faith ministry.

There is a special gift of faith but then there is an extraordinary Faith that takes a person threw the Red Sea.

Faith is not all wrapped up about believing.

Faith is tangible, it is a noun.

Faith is a substance..



There is HOPE


Where it says Faith is the
substance of things Hoped for.

We need to explore further
Hope. ....


Hope is that quality within the human spirit.

In war and all seems lost there is hope.

There the rationale of some, hope seems not reasonable.

But Hope holds against all negative odds.

The message of the Gospel is one of Hope.
You can not operate in the Love of God without hope.
You can not walk or talk faith until there has been hope.

We need to ponder what this means .....

.... of things hoped for ....



HOPE is that essence of the spirit of mankind.
Even creation has Hope.
For it is written the whole creation

" groans and travails fo the manifestation of the sons of God"


Faith is the Substance of things Hoped for.
There is a creative power in hope. Without Hope, Faith not can be.

Perhaps the Western material base mind has trouble with HOPE. There is not a cause and effect.
God does not respond the push of a button.

Many have the "Blessed Hope" that is the coming of the Messiah, where Lucifer is bound up and men beat their swords into plow shears.

There can exist HOPE against all odds, against fire, flood, blood and even death.

For even in DEATH there is the HOPE of the Resurrection.

Yet HOPE can not stand alone.

We are not self sufficient.

That I know, I watched too many men die slowly in death.

Those without HOPE were men and women most pitiful.

Are you fighting against the pricks in your heart?

We need a personal relationship with GOD in our lives. None of us can walk this alone.

I pray that all whom read this Message, find the Hope which solid.

Then there is Agape

Agape is the Greek term.
A love which only only can come from God Himself.

Agape can only work as God works in you.

The same Spirit, same Lord but the same GOD whom works all things in all...

But the One and the same Spirit works all these things, distributing to each one individually just as He wills.

THESE THREE ...
Now Faith, Hope, Love abide these three

As Paul wrote, then very next strokes by pen were.......

...Pursue love, yet desire
spiritual, but especially you
may prophesy ...


Please note the term "gifts"
as in some translations, well it is not so, in the original scrolls.

When we read the Bible we need to take the 'whole' not just a spot of favored verses removed from the whole.

There again we are back Gifts, Ministries and Effects.

Varieties of Gifts


There has been the Pentecostal movement. There has been the worldwide charismatic movement. There has been so much emphasis on gifts based on text that does not exist.

A decent Bible publication, take a look at chapter twelve of Corinthians. Each time you see the term gifts in italics just come to terms with the naked truth it does not exist in the original text.

So many through the years have asked, why was it there in the first place?
Answer- To suit ourselves as it makes it easier to explain things away.
Our services of worship can be so regimented.

Just may be there is the aspect of one with a ministry of tongues than just only a gift?

Or another with a ministry of prophecy? Or a working of miracles?

That shakes the foundation of so much ritual.

Gifts do not come as mentioned in this text from book learning nor Theological degree. It come through the Spirit of God.

And He the Spirit of God has worked among Gods people
for more than 2000 years since Jesus the Messiah was raised from the grave.



Varieties of Ministries

Should you be able look at the text from the Bible I Corinthians 12:1-7.
These are often misunderstood text. Some of the translations within "English" to put it simply do not help.

Verse one, "spiritual brethren...". there is absolutely nil mention from the original text in Greek about gifts. If we are to embrace that truth, it throws the whole setting of these Chapters Twelve Thirteen and Fourteen into a very challenging perspective.

Not excluding the infamous love Chapter 13 for which so many render completely out of context.

For within all three of these chapters you see ministry
from various manner. To reach those within the local gatherings to the lost and heathen world.

Theological seminary alone does not produce Ministries.
The term is associated more closely with the work of the Lord.
The Lord is a living being whom works with us. We need to cast aide the mind set that we are reaching into the sky to minister. An
illiterate person under the direction of the Lord can reach out and be used of God just as much qualification as an individual with whole string of degrees.

There is a place for Education. Yet there is a place to let God be God!



Varieties of Effects

In these past one twenty years in there has been little mention of this term.

.... there are varieties of effects, but the same GOD who works all things in all..

....to each one given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good.. .

No two people have the same
hair count on the head, or the same DNA.

One can NOT place God in a box for a neat package for our own religious services subject to prejudice of cultural and race. God is not white, yellow, black or any color.

GOD is God and He works through us as He wills.

How often in my travels, folk would say that is out of order I would reply just by whose standards?

One can NOT put God in a box.

The healing ministry for example so many ways to get folks to the manifestation of the power of God.

There are the working of miracles, prophecy and various kinds of tongues.

Goodness just may be it is time we ALL stop take a long hard look out ourselves.

Are we letting God move and have His way among us?
